THE VARIABLES

Each experiment consists of variables, there are three variables CONTROLLED, DEPENDANT, INDEPENDENT.
Controlled variables refer to the things that are kept the same [can be more than one thing].
Dependant variables refers to the things that we measure [to the same unit][usually one thing].
Independent variables refers to the things that we change [usually one thing].
In my case my dependant variable is my heart rate, i will measure this in beats per minute. My independent variable would be the energy drinks, i plan to change the brand of the energy drinks. I have a number of controlled variables, I will drink the same amount, I will wait for the same amount of time before checking my pulse.
